5K RUN FOR MILLBRAE DETAILS

Join us for a 5K run for a great cause! In late July, the Millbrae Community Center was destroyed in a fire. As early as the day of the fire, many in town and beyond were asking, “How can I help?” This giving spirit is what Millbrae is about and this run is part of the answer!
The run benefits the Millbrae Community Foundation’s Community Center Fund. Funds raised will help us not just rebuild the Center but enhance it.
The 5K run will start at the Civic Center and take runners through the heart of our downtown and back. It will be a great morning event with music and food after the run, so plan to stick around for a while! Can’t wait to see you there!

CITY OF MILLBRAE:

The Community Center:

  • The Millbrae Community Center was a hub of community events for 50 years. It hosted art classes, afterschool programs, senior events and activities, tennis lessons, exercise classes, weddings, and so much more. In fact, it was also the starting and ending point of Millbrae’s first 5K earlier this year, The Super Chili Bowl 5K! Maybe you were there? Despite the huge loss, Millbrae residents and leaders see opportunity. The community would love to see an enhanced facility in the future with more options. Funds raised by this event and others will help us achieve that goal. An improved facility will not just benefit residents, but also those from other communities that can enjoy resources it will provide!
